After introducing its new eqo millimeter wave-based personnel imaging system earlier this year in Europe, Smiths Detection will unveil and demonstrate the system next week at the ASIS International security conference in California (TR2, Feb. 4). The system generates a three-dimensional image revealing any hidden threats as a parson passes through a portal and turns in front of a square vertical panel. The image is viewed remotely and Smiths says eqo provides a real-time, movie-like image of the person being screened. The company says the system includes privacy filters such as face blurring.
