Pulling together various capabilities that currently reside within the company, SRA International [SRX] said recently it is building a complete life- cycle data protection business for federal and industry clients who share and disclose increasingly complex information over electronic networks.

“Data security, identity protection and privacy are increasingly critical elements of collaboration and the information-sharing process,” Stan Sloane, SRA’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “We intend to play a key role in identifying data risks and preventing breaches through our blend of analytical and technical services.”

In its new comprehensive approach to data protection solutions, SRA says it has fully integrated its analysis, security, privacy and identity management capabilities.

SRA has already won several contracts in the area of data protection, including a Blanket Purchase Agreement from the General Services Administration last fall to deliver independent risk analysis services across the government. The company also supports various federal agencies’ identity management initiatives, including those of the Defense Manpower Data Center. SRA has also recently been awarded contracts to assist customers such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the National Institutes of Health in meeting the identity protection and management requirements of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12. SRA also recently won task order contracts to compete for privacy services for the Departments of Homeland Security and State.

“Our recent awards underscore the proven capability of the SRA team in delivering leading-edge solutions in the data protection, security, privacy and identity management areas,” Sloane said.
