The State Department on Tuesday approved two potential foreign military sales (FMS), a $2.2 billion deal for Bahrain that includes 50 M1A2SEPv2 Abrams main battle tanks, and a $260 million purchase by Morocco for hundreds of Javelin FGM-148F anti-tank missiles.

General Dynamics [GD] builds the Abrams, and a joint venture between Lockheed Martin [LMT] and RTX [RTX] supplies the Javelin.

The sale to Bahrain also includes four M88A2 HERCULES combat recover vehicles produced by BAE Systems, eight M1110 Joint Assault Bridges made by Leonardo DRS [DRS], eight M1150 Assault Breacher Vehicles, eight Heavy Assault Scissor Bridges, 100 M240 coaxial 7.62mm machine guns, three Honeywell [HON]-built AGT1500 gas turbine engines, 6,000 120mm M1002 Target Practice Multipurpose Tracer projectiles, 5,760 120mm M1147 High Explosive Multipurpose Tracers, M2A1 .50 caliber machine cunts, Common Remote Operated Weapons Station-Low Profile, M250 smoke grenade launchers, M1300/M1302 Enhanced Heavy Equipment Transporter System, M978A4 Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck tanker and load handling system, M074A1 Palletized Load Systems and trailers, Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module-based GPS receivers, Next Generation Automatic Test System, and other related support equipment.

RTX and Lockheed Martin are also listed as principal contractors on the FMS for Bahrain.

The State Department said offset agreements will be defined between Bahrain and the contractor.

The proposed Javelin deal includes 612 missiles, 200 Lightweight Command Launch Units, missile simulation rounds, and other support equipment.
