Department of State has awarded Northrop Grumman [NOC] a five-month $36 million task order under the African Contingency Operations Training and Assistance (ACOTA) contract to provide equipment and logistics services.

“Northrop Grumman’s vast capabilities allow us to quickly and efficiently meet the growing needs of the ACOTA program,” Mike Roberts, Northrop Grumman Technical Services sector’s Training and Simulation Group vice president and general manager, said in a statement. “We are a proud contractor of the ACOTA team, successfully planning and executing more than 300 training events and exercises in 13 African partner nations.”

Under the terms of the ACOTA task order, Northrop Grumman and its teammate Fairfax, Va.-based ManTech will procure and transport equipment and supplies for African partner nations under the ACOTA program.

The work will be performed at Northrop Grumman’s facility at Fort Leavenworth, Kan.

“Our ACOTA team has set a bar for superior performance across the African continent,” said Rod Low, Northrop Grumman Technical Services’ program manager for the contract. “With our team, the State Department gains the benefit of continuity of services under a single contract provided by a trusted contractor with proven performance.”
