State Department Okays $445 Million Sale Of Heavy Tactical Vehicles To Kuwait

The State Department approved a potential $445 million Foreign Military Sale (FMS) of 517 Heavy Tactical Vehicles to Kuwait. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress of the possible sale on Thursday. The sale of 517 vehicles consists of Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTT) and Heavy Equipment Transporters (HET). This includes 31 HEMTT Wrecker Trucks (M984A4 10-ton with crane and winch); 100 HEMTT Fuel Tanker Trucks (M978A4, 10-ton, 2,500 gallon); 188 Guided Missile Transporter Trucks (M985A4, 10-ton with winch);…
