The State Department last Friday released a draft request for proposals (RFP) for its Evolve information technology services and solutions acquisition, which it estimates to be worth between $8 billion and $10 billion over a five-to-seven-year period.
The final RFP is expected to be issued by the end of September.
Under the Evolve program, State will acquire services to be used worldwide in five functional categories including IT management services, network and telecommunications services, cloud and data center services, application development services, and customer and end user support services.
The department plans to award a suite of indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts for the various IT support services. Cybersecurity will be mandatory for task orders under the contract.
Reponses to the draft RFP are due by July 22 and State plans to host a live question and answer listening on July 26.
