The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate’s new Cyber Security Division has issued a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for FY ’11 seeking ideas and proposals for research and development in 14 Technical Topic Areas (TTA) to improve the security in both federal networks and the larger Internet. The total value of the planned acquisition is $40 million. Proposals are sought for new technologies, prototype technologies and mature technologies. The TTAs are: Software Assurance; Enterprise Level Security Metrics; Usable Security; Insider Threat; Secure, Resilient Systems and Networks; Modeling of Internet Attacks; Network Mapping and Measurement; Incident Response Communities; Cyber Economics; Digital Provenance; Hardware-Enabled Trust; Moving Target Defense; and Nature Inspired Cyber Health.
