The Army’s TACOM Life Cycle Management Command will hold an Omnibus Industry Day Aug. 27 at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich.
“TARDEC has a rich history of creating successful partnerships with industry,” TARDEC Director Grace Bochenek said. “The goal for these planning meetings is for TARDEC to continue developing those industry relationships by seeking out the best-qualified contractors who can offer us long-term support and will enhance our existing in-house strengths and abilities as we collaborate on improvements to vehicle and system performance and protection. This will, in turn, allow us to fulfill our continued mission to be the Department of Defense’s Ground Vehicle Center of Excellence.”
Specific areas where support is being sought include: systems integration, systems engineering, technology insertion, corrective action and technology innovations. An official pre-solicitation notice is tentatively scheduled for release in late September.
The governments intent for this proposed action is to award multiple task order contracts to the best qualified contractors in the above areas.
The objective is to establish long-term, competitively awarded contract vehicles that reflect a qualified group of contractors to support and enhance the in-house ability to improve vehicle and system protection and performance.
