Implant Sciences Receives Chinese Approval for QS-B220
Implant Sciences [IMSC] says that its QS-B220 desktop explosives trace detector has received regulatory approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), opening the door for sales into that country’s aviation system. “We are proud to have received approval for the QS-B220 from CAAC, which is the equivalent of the TSA in the United States,” says Glenn Bolduc, Implant’s CEO. “China has traditionally been a very strong market for us, with hundreds of our trace detection systems being currently used by police, airports, and subways. We believe our reputation for quality and performance will translate into significant QS-B220 sales in the Chinese market.” He adds that the QS-B220 is the only ETD to pass testing by the TSA, CAAC and Europe’s European Civil Aviation Conference.
