TSA Certifies L-3’s High-Speed Large Bore EDS System

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has certified L-3 Communications' [LLL] eXaminer XLB explosives detection system (EDS), making it the first industry certified EDS that meets the agency's requirements for high-speed scanning. The XLB can screen up to 1,200 bags per hour. The certification also gives L-3 three TSA-certified EDS systems it can offer airports.
