UAE Requests $1.1 Million Sale Of THAAD Missiles

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress recently of a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) of 48 Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missiles and associated parts and equipment for an estimated cost of $1.1 billion, according to a DSCA statement. In addition to the 48 THAAD missiles, the UAE requests nine THAAD launchers and associated parts, equipment and support. The deal is contingent on Congress’ approval.
