The Air Force and United Launch Alliance (ULA) are set for Friday’s Global Positioning System IIF-12 (GPS IIF-12).
Launch will take place at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. The 19-minute launch window opens at 8:38 a.m. EST. The Air Force said at press time Thursday there was a 40 percent chance of favorable weather conditions for the launch.
GPS IIF-12 is the final satellite in the GPS IIF position, navigation and timing (PNT) constellation. ULA is a joint venture of Lockheed Martin [LMT] and Boeing [BA].
