VT Group on Monday said it has acquired DELTA Resources, Inc., a provider of naval systems engineering and technical services to the Navy.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. DELTA, which is based in Northern Virginia, has 350 employees.
VT Group, which is also based in Northern Virginia, said the acquisition will add to its capabilities in serving the Navy and allow it to offer a comprehensive suite of naval engineering capabilities.
“This acquisition adds differentiated technical expertise to our portfolio of fleet modernization capabilities and positions VT Group as a leading provider of full lifecycle naval engineering services for the next generation of naval platforms and weapons systems,” John Hassoun, VT Group’s CEO, said in a statement.
DELTA’s customers include the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), the Army and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The company provides the Navy’s Program Executive Offices (PEOs) with C5I and weapon systems engineering, integrated product support, and technical services.
The company also has capabilities in information technology, cloud computing, and cyber security.
DELTA generated $51.5 million in sales in 2017 when it had 293 employees, according to an annual report for that year on its website. At that time, Navy PEOs accounted for 32 percent of sales and NAVSEA 25 percent, with DISA the third largest at 16 percent and the Army next at 10 percent.
Maria Proestou, DELTA’s founder and CEO, will continue to lead the company, which will operate as a subsidiary of VT Group.
