Washington State’s Department of Social and Health Services awarded L-1 Identity Solutions [ID] a $7 million contract to provide digital fingerprinting services for civil applicants as part of the EasyPath network statewide. The contract has a four-year term with one two-year option. L-1’s Integrated Biometric Technology subsidiary will open 16 enrollment centers with plans to increase service to 30 or more locations throughout the state. Fingerprints will be collected using TouchPrint live scan systems and the iA-thenticate system will be used to authenticate documents. L-1 says that more than 185,000 state residents are expected to be processed as part of EasyPath over six years.
